How to download Snapchat Stories
The steps differ slightly between the Snapchat app on a phone and the website on a computer, so both are below.
On iPhone or Android

How do I download a Snapchat Story?

Can I download a snap somebody sent me?
No, and this is worth being direct about: a snap sent to you personally is delivered to your account and is not publicly served, so there is nothing for this tool to fetch. Only Spotlight clips and publicly published Stories are reachable.
Will the creator know I saved their Spotlight video?
Snapchat notifies people about screenshots of snaps in a private chat. Spotlight is a public feed and this tool does not interact with your account at all, so there is no screenshot event and nothing tied to you.
How does a public Story download?
As separate files, one per snap. A Story is a sequence of individual snaps with their own durations, so each is listed on its own rather than stitched into a single video you would have to cut apart.
Why did my Snapchat link stop working?
Most likely the content expired. Stories are removed after their window passes, and once Snapchat stops serving a snap there is nothing left to fetch. Spotlight clips are more durable but can also be deleted by the creator.
Do I need the Snapchat app installed?
No. If you have a public link you can paste it here from any browser. The app is only useful for finding the content and copying its link in the first place.
