The steps differ slightly between the Telegram app on a phone and the website on a computer, so both are below.
On iPhone or Android

What does a Telegram message link look like?
It is a t.me URL with the channel's name and the message number, produced by Copy Link on mobile or Copy Message Link on desktop. A link to the channel as a whole will not resolve to a file — it has to point at a specific message.
Why is Telegram media often better quality?
Because Telegram frequently carries media as an uncompressed file rather than re-encoding it the way social feeds do. When that is the case, what you download is the original the uploader posted.
Can I download very large files?
