How to download Pinterest images
The steps differ slightly between the Pinterest app on a phone and the website on a computer, so both are below.
On iPhone or Android

Tap the Pin so it fills the screen. It needs to be on a public board.

This gives you a pin.it short link, which works here — it is followed to the real Pin automatically.

Click the Pin so it opens in its own view with a /pin/ URL and a numeric id.
